What You'll be Doing:
The Senior Pricing Analyst uses in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of theories and principles of pricing and applies general knowledge of business and industry practices. They work independently under minimal guidance, carries out a full range of professional duties, and solves moderately complex problems. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Participates in developing pricing strategies to meet customers' needs while providing a profit for the organization. May determine core business costs of service in support of pricing development. Evaluates the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make recommendations to pricing structures as needed. Provides reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serves as the point-of-contact for pricing inquiries from the internal sales department, but not customers. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Leads team projects or project steps within a broader project or has accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Uses advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to adapt policies and programs and develop models to support projects of the team.
Key Tasks:
Run the day-to-day pricing decision-making process for the assigned Wolters Kluwer FCC business unit, including approval of pricing requests and recommending appropriate pricing levels for customers. Document and execute pricing processes which includes working with multiple cross-functional team members. Support strategic pricing projects from plan to completion, including annual price increases. Participate in and drive results for cross-functional projects involving pricing topics, such as new product launches, go-to-market strategies, and customer negotiations. Provide pricing and revenue data, analysis, and reporting to Management stakeholders. Support development of financial models for pricing decisions and provide strategic pricing guidance to allow continued profitable growth. Support development of competitive pricing strategies. Train colleagues in pricing processes. Prepare and deliver management presentations. What Makes you a Great Fit:
A minimum of four years of pricing or financial analysis experience, experience working in the financial services industry, and working with sales processes are preferred. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience. High level of understanding of financial processes and workflows to identify and implement improvements. Experience with both quantitative and qualitative analysis and the ability to leverage data to inform business decisions. Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing competing priorities. Strong project and process management skills, including superior attention to detail, time management capabilities, and simultaneously managing and executing multiple projects. Strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Outlook; experience with Salesforce and SQL databases preferred. Ability to travel as needed.
