JOB SUMMARY:As an Azure SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data manipulation scripts within the Azure SQL environment. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring efficient data management processes and facilitating data-driven decision-making within our health care plan operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Data Manipulation Script Development: Develop and maintain robust data manipulation scripts using T-SQL within the Azure SQL environment to support various data management needs of the health care plan.• Query Optimization: Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation processes, adhering to best practices and utilizing indexing strategies.• Database Design and Implementation: Collaborate with database architects and stakeholders to design and implement database schemas, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability in alignment with business requirements.• Data Integration: Implement data integration solutions to streamline the flow of data between different systems and databases, ensuring seamless data exchange and consistency.• Data Analysis and Reporting Support: Assist in developing SQL-based data analysis queries and reports to extract meaningful insights from the health care plan data, supporting operational and strategic decision-making processes.• Data Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce data security measures and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA) within the Azure SQL environment to safeguard sensitive health care data and ensure regulatory compliance.• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database schemas, scripts, and processes. Provide knowledge transfer and support to other team members to foster collaboration and enhance overall team proficiency.• Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Strong proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization techniques.Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and related services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics)Solid understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization.Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques.Experience working in a health care or insurance domain is a plus.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.• Proven experience working as a SQL Developer, with a focus on Azure SQL.This is a 6-month contract position that requires on-site work, possibility of hybrid but on-site is preferred.
