The Engineer works to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency by performing various analyses of production processes and operational procedures including:Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.Assisting with failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause.He/she confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes including estimating production times, staffing requirements, and related costs.The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates with R&D concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. He/she analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.When needed the Engineer designs, develops, modifies, and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient production methods and installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.The position is responsible for scheduling and documenting the completion of routine maintenance on applicable manufacturing and test equipment.The Manufacturing Engineer assist with hands on training of manufacturing employees on new product launches, tooling, equipment, and process revisions; he/she coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, determining the sequence of the build, optimizing process flow, training staff, troubleshooting and evaluating results.The position is responsible for completing time studies to quantify processing times and identify areas for process improvements and for developing data measures and standards which increase efficiencies and productivity.The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for performing tests, gathering data, and writing results/reports.Performs other related duties as assigned.Education/Experience:5 years of experience with machining in same or related shop environment (Required)Bachelor’s Degree in engineering science or related degreeBell & Associates, Inc. was recently recognized by Forbes list of Best Professional Recruiting Firms in America - https://www.forbes.com/best-professional-recruiting-firms/list/3/#tab:overallBETTER TALENT.
