The position entails designing, developing, testing, and sustaining complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems while also supporting the integration of new designs into the product commercialization process.The ideal candidate should have a background in mechanical engineering or a related field, with experience in designing and developing electro-mechanical parts and equipment. Project management and support skills are essential, as well as a knack for working effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.You MUST be Authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.As a viable candidate for this role, you should be an engineer with a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, coupled with practical experience in product engineering.ROLE CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ideally, have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering role.Experience using parametric solid modeling software such as SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, Pro-E, or Unigraphics is preferred.Must have a strong ability in supporting projects, which includes planning, execution, and delivering within timelines.Have experience in the redesign, sustaining, testing, and validation of existing products. This may involve understanding customer requirements, conceptualizing design solutions, and overseeing the product lifecycle.Design, develop, validate, and sustain components that are made from processes such as sheet metal bending, injection molding, brazing, machining, thermoforming, and other standard manufacturing processes.Define and develop component specification/selection, prototyping, testing, and regulatory requirements of mechanical structuring and fluid systems equipment for current products.Have the ability to analyze complex technical issues, develop solutions, and implement resolutions. This skill is crucial for continuous improvement of products and processes.Knowledge and experience in sustaining projects, which involve cost-saving initiatives through material substitution and process transformation.
