Overview

As the Director of Analytics and Data Science, you will spearhead our strategy and efforts to harness data, ensuring alignment with our business objectives. With direct oversight of our advanced data infrastructure—encompassing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL databases, Power BI, and Google Analytics—you will lead a team dedicated to transforming data into actionable insights and strategic foresight.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Architect and execute a visionary analytics strategy that leverages our complex data ecosystem, including SQL Server (2014 & 2019), ERP for operational insights, and Google Analytics for web analytics.
• Expertise: Utilize SSIS for ETL processes, ensuring seamless data integration and automation across systems. Employ Power BI for comprehensive business intelligence solutions, creating dynamic reports and dashboards that drive decision-making.
• Analytics and Modeling: Deploy advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict trends, optimize operations, and personalize customer experiences.
• Collaboration and Influence: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business units, translating complex data insights into actionable business strategies. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Legacy: Comfortable with creating foundational data strategy that will enable a hyper growth strategy
• Governance: Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting, documentation of data assets and KPIs, establish source of truth for data domains.
• Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics. Identify opportunities for process optimization and the application of advanced analytics techniques and build a 3-year roadmap for data analytics.

Skills & Minimum Qualifications:

• or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
• least 7 years of experience in a leadership role within analytics/data science, specifically within the retail or ecommerce sector.
• expertise in data management and analytics platforms, particularly SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI, and Google Analytics.
• ability in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
• with NAV ERP systems and their application in data-driven business environments.
• to build cross functional relationships throughout the company
• project management skills, presentation skills, and a successful track record of leading successful cross-functional initiatives.

Specialized Training or Knowledge:

• with Microsoft Office applications, with expertise in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced functions, formulas, filtering, etc.) and database skills (e.g., SQL)
• to collect and synthesize information, making it relevant, understandable, and actionable for key stakeholders
• to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines
• insights that improve the business through linking various data sources
• understanding of Analytics and Visualization techniques
