Casual weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) shifts available General Medicine caseload 8 hour shift length Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital City campus Parkville The General Medicine service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is committed to providing outstanding patient care. In 2023 we are introducing a new, contemporary model for Allied Health in General Medicine to redefine care for our patients and the experience of our highly regarded team across 7 days. A significant growth in dedicated staffing will support service enhancement and deliver a career structure to develop specialist clinical, research, education and leadership skills for Allied Health working in General Medicine. We are looking for new Allied Health professionals to join our highly experienced and skilled team in delivering this new 7-day Allied Health service. We need dynamic Senior Clinicians, passionate clinician-researchers, junior staff who want to develop in an inspiring environment and clinicians who want to make a difference in our General Medicine Units every day.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy service is made up of over 110 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our weekend General Medicine service. This position will provide the successful applicants opportunities to gain experience working in a well supported multidisciplinary team environment.
Your new role:
Competently and independently assess, treat and manage general medicine patients in the acute health setting. Work across a variety of wards/caseloads. Prioritise clinical load based on daily demand. Be flexible to meet the clinical and workforce needs of the Physiotherapy department. About You:
You are an experienced Physiotherapist with broad cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy skills. You have a strong ability to develop relationships with relevant team members from allied health, nursing and medical teams.
